Chat Roulette Girl

Me and Damon have recently become strangely fascinated by the site that is Chat Roulette. Yes, there are lots of indecent things (mainly, gentlemen bits). And yes, there are tons of very strange people. But you do come across some really genuinely interesting/cool/nice people from all around the world. I've had lots of chances to practice both my French -and- Italian with other people!  We talked with a vampire person from Paris, and a Frosty the Snowman. Etc etc.

One thing people seem to dig is when we tell them we're animators, and Damon has started the fun trend of drawing the people on the other side of the chat, which most people really like. It's kind of fun- getting random people to draw and have bizarre interactions with.

Here is an Australian model we talked to who shared my love for smizing and ANTM. ha ha ha!

Figure Drawing fun!

Went to figure drawing hosted by Film Roman tonight (just started a new job on Wow! Wow! Wubzy!) It was SO nice to draw from life and just stretch out those ol' figure drawing muscles. These are 5 and 10 minute poses.

RIP Bettie Page

I was sad to learn that the legendary Bettie Page passed away. She was such a cutie- I loved her sense of joy and the fact that she had curves and was so comfortable with her body.  She will be missed!

I figured she'd be a good fit for Illustration Friday's theme "Rambunctious" because one would think the amateur photo shoots would be very rambunctious, but they could actually be very orderly and quiet. Also, (fun fact!) she was the first model that worked with and allowed African American men to photograph her in the photo clubs/ pin-up sessions.

Guilty Pleasure

So, my guilty pleasure (and what should have been my Illustration Friday entry for "Fierce" way back when) is America's Next Top Model, which is total junk food television, but OH SO AWESOME. Add in a drinking game, and you have some quality bonding time with the reluctant boyfriend. Extra added bonus- they have a pre-op transgender this season! drama!

Anyway,this is my ode to Ty Ty (or, as you may know her off the ANTM forums, Tyra Banks), which we all know the show is really about anyways...
