Horse painting reception

My art reception for my large-scale horse pieces went so well tonight! It was so wonderful getting all my paintings out and up on the wall.  Hopefully they'll start selling; until then, if you missed the reception, they will be available for viewing in the store for the next few weeks or so.

Many thanks go out to everybody who came out to see my paintings- it really meant a lot to me, and it was great seeing everybody!

A big shout out to my wonderful friend and caterer, Ngoc, who prepared the delicious food

and Steve, owner of the Living Room, for allowing me to hold the reception and host all my enormous paintings in one place!

Upcoming Cactus SHOW!!

Hey everybody!

So my Blonde Bombshell paintings will be in the upcoming Cactus show; "ICONS, LEGENDS and NOTORIOUS FIGURES!" In addition, Damon will also be exhibiting a few of his urban legend drawings as well : D

There are two receptions;
NELAart.org Gallery Night, Saturday, July 12, 2008 :: 7pm-10pm
Artist Reception :: Saturday, July 19, 2008 :: 8pm-11pm

I believe Damon and I will try to be at the July 19th reception, since it's the official artist reception, and it gives more time for people to make plans to swing by. It's a fun little funky art gallery over in Eagle Rock- real neat little place, and there are tons of great places to grab food in the neighborhood up on Colorado Blvd before/after!

Hope to see you there!

Illustration Friday: Primitive

This week's Illustration Friday theme made me think of paleolithic cave paintings (especially Pech Merle), so I drew up some primitive cave horses and played around with color. Really enjoyed this week's theme and result! Enjoy!
