Olympic opening ceremony sketch

Just a quick sketch from watching tonight's Olympic opening ceremonies- loved some of the women's costumes and the overall amazing choreography!

Painted Elephant

My submission for this week's Illustration Friday's theme, "Wrinkle." When I thought of wrinkles, I thought of elephants, and was inspired by the chalk ceremonial paintings that are done on elephants in India. Enjoy!

Peacock, color study

Went back to try and re-work the earlier peacock with color, but didn't like the composition, so tried a different angle and approach- really like the marker/ colored pencil combo. Very happy with this result! I need to get some light colored markers for more background color bases (more than yellow, orange and green, anyway)
