A Difference of Opinions
We have a hummingbird feeder outside our balcony, which Rocket and Inky LOVE to watch and "talk" to the hummingbirds that come by. I love it because, well, I love hummingbirds, but I think they love it for quite another reason altogether!!

Makin' Cantucci!
I tried my hand at making home-made Cantucci today, and it turned out FANTASTIC! These are biscotti like cookies which are great dipped in Vin Santo, a sweet tuscan dessert wine...

What do you mean, it's closed every Sunday??
So, Sunday (Nov 22nd, if you're keeping track), Damon and I had a rocky start to our Sunday.
First, we woke up and our power went out. So, no hot water (couldn't get the pilot light lit to heat the water), so no shower, and no electricity.
Then, we were like, ok, let's go to brunch at that one place that looked like they have a good brunch. Get there, they're closed Sunday.
Ooo-k. So then, we think, fine, let's go food shopping at the Central Market and get stuff for dinner. And they're closed! And apparently, they've always been closed on Sundays. It seems we were traveling so much every single weekend, we never even noticed the market was closed every sunday.
(and there was a really gross pigeon who had a stump for a foot hanging around outside).
But, we ended up getting food elsewhere, we got the power situation back up and working, and all ended up happy : D

Too much of a good thing
Damon and I have noticed that while our legs are SUPER toned and in shape from the tons of walking we've been doing, the amount of good eatin' has certainly found it's way to our tummies!

Fish aquarium store or restaurant? Eating out in Guangzhou, China, is like going to my favorite aquarium store, but here I have to worry about picking out my dinner instead of picking out something to decorate my tank with!

Adventures in Shanghai!
Today was a whirlwind tour around Shanghai; walking down Nanjing road, around the Bund (fantastic people watching), and finally over to Yuan Garden before swinging back over to the Bund to see it all lit up at night. Whew!
Along the way we saw tiny fishing ponds stocked with goldfish where kids could fish for goldfish, surly watermelon man vendors with mean knives and cigarettes, and checked out some famous soup-dumplings at Yuan Garden (thanks for the tip Will!)
