T is for tiger

I really like how this turned out- esp since it was all from my head, with no reference. Whoo!

America's Littlest Leopard

OCELOT ! This one goes out to that special someone who mentioned I don't draw enough ocelots, who, as we all know, are America's Little Leopard .

Tiger and girl

Just a rough sketch- I like the idea of an indian girl and a tiger (something sort of Jungle Book about it)

The Thak Man-Eater

My sketchbook was originally a book about an old British hunter who went to India to hunt tigers, so I figured it'd be fitting to draw a tiger on one of the old original pages...

Illustration Friday: "Fierce"

Maybe I'm still on a Narnia kick from last week (you know, first with Eustace the Dragon, and now with a Lion not unlike Aslan), but this was the first thing that popped into my head when I thought of this week's topic, "fierce."

*Ok. So I lied. I totally thought of Tyra Banks and her fierce eyes, but I couldn't quite bring myself to draw her or anything ANTM related, because that's a guilty pleasure of mine that I can't bring myself to admit. (oops! I just did!) Ha ha! (Ok, maybe this Illustration Friday theme deserves two entries this week ; )

Anyway, a lion -was- the second thing that I thought of, and that's the truth! Enjoy!

Cheetah

Was reading a very interesting article about cheetahs and cheetah conservation in my Smithsonian magazine and was inspired. Very interesting stuff!
