Was going to draw her with black hair (since it would make sense that she's asian, since that's the whole premise of the Lotus Festival), but the blonde seemed to stand out better and show off the spirals, so I went with that color.
Sadly, there were no lotuses this year in the lake, but hopefully they will come back after 2010 when they renovate the park.
