You should all come- it'll be tons o'fun!

(don't worry- I am still doing a drawing a day- just haven't found time to upload!)

For Immediate Release-

Girls Drawin Girls presents "Bitter/ Sweet: A Valentines Show"
Opening reception Friday, February 12th 8pm- midnight
On View               February 12th - 27th
"Girls Drawin' Girls" a collective of women artists specializing in pin-up art, presents "Bitter/ Sweet: A Valentines Show."

The evening will feature original artwork, live music from artichoke the band, and burlesque performances by the ladies of Victory Variety Hour. Refreshments will be provided. A $5 donation is requested at the door to help go towards the evenings' performers and to help fund GDG's next art book.

The artwork on display will feature pin-up interpretations of "Bitter" and "Sweet."  This is a great opportunity for last minute Valentine presents, or just great original artwork by some of the most talented ladies working in animation, film and graphic design today!

In addition, Girls Drawin Girls will be selling their past books, "Girls Drawin Girls; A Girl in Time, Vol I" and "Once Upon a Girl, Vol II," in addition to a few remaining GDG 2010 Pin-Up calenders.

About Girls Drawin Girls:
Girls Drawin Girls ( www.girlsdrawingirls.com ) was founded in 2006 by Simpsons veteran Melody Severns and storyboard artist Anne Walker, whostarted Girls Drawin Girls as a way to showcase female artists working in the male-heavy animation industry.  They felt it was time for these talented women to demonstrate their creative abilities and their own personal vision of sex appeal by treading upon the male domineered field of pin up art.

Since its conception, the group has published two volumes of pin-up art and grown to over 30 active members from around the world, whose work has been showcased in various entertainment industries, from production design, film and television animation, to graphic design.
