Cross Country Day 5- Minnesota to South Dakota

In Minnesota, we stayed the night at a reststop, because we overshot our exit for our campground by 20 miles. (there literally are no places to turn around on those highways!). In the morning, we explored Blue Earth, Minnesota, home of the real 50' Jolly Green Giant...

But then, as we were driving along, got struck with a piece of gravel on our windshield!

After a visit to the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota, we made it onwards towards the Badlands. As we turned off the highway down the lonely dark country road towards the park, we could see a thunderstorm lighting up clouds in the distance, and then, "Highway to Hell" starts up on the radio.
