Fourth of July in Sonoma

Went to go visit the Mission in Sonoma; very interesting part of CA's history! First time I've actually visited / been to a Mission. There were a great collection of watercolors by Chris Jorgensen that were absolutely beautiful!  He and his wife traveled up and down the CA coast in 1904/05 while he painted Missions in all forms of disrepair and decay, resulting in an increased interest in the general public to restore them.

Anyway, gorgeous stuff!

I have a mini-sketchbook that my friend Danielle gave me and I keep in my purse- perfect for tiny mini-sketches! (the scans are close to actual size!) This is the courtyard's fountain and a visitor.
